Guided interactive image segmentation using machine learning and color-based data set clustering

TiQuant is a freely available modular image processing and quantification software. It includes a tool for interactive segmentation of two- and three-dimensional images using superpixels and machine learning, as well as a method for grouping sets of images into visually similar subsets to guide the reuse of interactively trained classifiers. Furthermore, TiQuant provides a variety of specialized processing chains for segmenting liver tissue compartments from three-dimensional confocal micrographs such as hepatocytes, nuclei, capillaries, and bile ducts, and corresponding quantification methods that allow measuring crucial features of liver tissue architecture.
